Aeromarine Scorpion?

I have a new, old stock, 32" Aeromarine Scorpion and I was wondering if anyone here has ever run one on electric?

I't's not at all like the challenger, it has a much shallower v similar to the DF 33's but with shorter strakes it also doesn't have a hook like the DF33's seem to have. That being said, the scorpion is a great 4 cell boat, I actually sold mine over the winter and the guy i sold it too is doing great with it this season. I'm thinking of switching from my DF33 back to another scorpion. I actually saw my old scorpion running today at a race and I was jealous.

Ah Ray, you aren't playing because I keep needling you about the DUO, are you? LOL!

Mike, thanks! That's good news. How was it powered? Do you still have any pics of the layout? Gear drive or direct?

Thanks guys,
John

Yes Ray you are correct ray, and that one handles better in rougher water, but the scorpion is overall a better boat. It was Direct drive with either an 8 or 9XL on 4S2P, with a 440 prop, but i would do a 1521/1.5D and a 450 prop if I were gonna do another one.

Thanks guys!
I have a new 9XL that I was going to throw at it but, I think I'll save up the $$$ for the Neu and do it up right the first time!

I wonder if I could keep it down on 6S??? LOL! :yeah:

i ran mine on 6S with an aveox 3 years ago and it was a handfull back then with lower power lipos and a mild motor, I can't imagine what 6S and a Neu motor would do now!!!!!the thing would probably get airborne!!!
